The ultra-high modulus carbon fiber independently developed by Teminate can be classified into the asphalt-based route in the three major routes of carbon fiber, which is called mesophase pitch carbon fiber. The mesophase pitch raw material produced by this new technology has ultra-high purity below 10PPM; the spinning speed reaches spinning speed of more than 1000m; the production is stable and reliable, and the uniformity of carbon fiber products and the high performance of product performance can be guaranteed; The strength and modulus are all international advanced levels.

In addition, it is estimated that after the mass production of the high-modulus carbon fiber, the cost of the ultra-high modulus carbon fiber will be much lower than the current mainstream PAN-based carbon fiber, which will greatly reduce the threshold for the use of ultra-high modulus carbon fiber. According to the relevant person in charge of Teminate, with the support of the relevant resources and technical services of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first production line of the enterprise will be built in Ningbo and will be put into production quickly.

It is reported that this technology and polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber are different types of differentiated products, each has its own length and no competition conflict. Teminate ultra-high modulus carbon fiber will be widely used in military, aerospace and other special fields, and will be extended to a wider range of civil fields including high-speed rail, automobiles, sports equipment and other industries related to people's food, clothing, housing and transportation. .
