Five things in the glass fiber composites industry

I. Actions across the industry to accelerate supply-side reforms
The whole industry took active actions and responded to the supply-side reform policy proposed by President Xi to resolve excess capacity, which means removing backward production capacity. In the glass fiber composite material industry, although the capacity of the pool kiln has accounted for 90%, there are still 10% of the balls. Kiln and sputum methods need to be compressed and removed. The existing technical level of the pool kiln still needs to be improved. In the “13th Five-Year Plan”, it has been clearly pointed out that the R&D team represented by the three major kiln enterprises is designing high-melting rate large-scale kiln production line, glass raw material testing and formula development. Innovation and integration of sizing agent modification and recovery, development of large leaking plates and loss of platinum, intelligent construction of production lines, waste heat recovery and utilization, etc. The pilot work has been carried out in Taishan Fiberglass to promote the continuous technology of domestic kiln Improve and improve.

Second, break through the bottleneck of industry development
As a part of the emerging industry, glass fiber composite materials are still small in size and light, and have not yet formed a real industrial scale. What is the bottleneck that restricts the development of the industry? The main problem currently facing is that the thermoplastic technology process products have not been implemented. The current process and equipment are only mature LFT. Although the output and application speed are increasing, they are far from being scaled up. The association actively "goes out" and has communicated with foreign related thermoplastic manufacturers, striving to abandon the original thermoset products as soon as possible, and to keep up with the international development trend in 5-10 years to achieve a breakthrough in thermoplastic technology. Can a circular economy be achieved with poor environmental friendliness, long processing cycles and difficult to recycle thermoset composites? Countries such as Europe and the United States cannot do it. Developing circular economy is a major strategic decision of China and an inevitable choice for the development of each industry. Vigorous development of thermoplastic composite materials is the only way for the healthy and sustainable development of glass fiber composite materials.

Third, the upper and lower industry chain will be integrated
What is a composite material? A material that has new properties by two or more different materials, physically or chemically, is a composite material. We must break through the past imprisonment, break the boundaries of the past, and organically combine the upstream and downstream of the composites industry chain, from raw material production, equipment suppliers to terminal users, while widening the width of the industrial chain and extending the length of the industrial chain. On the basis of division of labor, each link manufacturer cooperates and cooperates with each other to achieve resource sharing and integration. It must not be independent of the past, and behind closed doors, resulting in the inability to scale development, the industry does not work together, and the market is difficult to grow.
Taking the transportation sector as an example, the automobile industry is the largest user of composite materials. Today, automobile lightweighting is an effective way to achieve energy saving and emission reduction in the automotive industry, and has become one of the main directions for the development of current and future automotive technologies. According to statistics, in 2011, the average amount of plastic used in developed countries reached more than 300 kg/unit, accounting for 20% of the whole vehicle's kerb quality. Nowadays, the average amount of composite materials used in every automobile in developed countries has exceeded 70 kg. The average composite material consumption of a car is only about 10 kg. China is the world's largest auto market. In 2015, China's auto production and sales volume exceeded 24.5 million units, a record high in the world. It has been ranked first in the world for seven consecutive years. It is conservatively estimated at 35 yuan per kilogram of composite materials. It can be estimated in the next 10 years. Composite materials will have a huge market share of about $260 billion.
Looking at the high-speed rail, from scratch, from controversy to vigorous promotion, in just over a decade, China's high-speed rails roared at an unimaginable speed. With the trains of the times, composite materials also ushered in a major development. Opportunities, from the bodywork of high-speed trains to the interior trim of the car, there is an active presence of composite materials, and the use of composite materials is still on the rise. On the other hand, we have been doing pipe squeezing profiles for decades, and still can't occupy the market, or even make our own brand, which is worthy of deep reflection.
Fourth, actively explore new application areas
The times are progressing, society is developing. With the development of high-speed rail, new energy vehicles, wind power, urban pipe network, oil pipelines, agricultural aquaculture and other industries, the association has begun to vigorously promote penetration into these fields three years ago, looking for and discovering more. Many application areas with large-scale development potential, the introduction of the "Opinions" is more active in the glass fiber composite industry to open up new application areas to add fuel, but also poses new challenges to the process performance of composite materials. It is imperative to do research and development on staple fiber, long fiber and fabric fiber. The soldiers and horses did not move the grain first, otherwise they would have to import these high-performance raw materials from abroad if advanced equipment was introduced. Therefore, the industry should actively respond to the actions proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to foster the promotion of individual champion enterprises in the manufacturing industry, and focus on cultivating several competitive individual champion enterprises as the mainstay of the industry transformation and upgrading.
The three major companies, Jushi, Taishan and Chongqing International, which are among the best in the glass fiber industry, are undoubtedly included in the list. The composite materials industry also has leading companies that focus on specific fields and pursue the spirit of artisans, such as domestic megawatt blade products for several years. Zhongyun Technology Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd., which is the first market share of Lianyungang, relying on the absolute technical advantages of Beiboyuan, and Dongsheng Shengli Xinda Industrial Group, its FRP high-pressure pipelines are more than 20,000 at home and abroad. Kilometers, it is a well-deserved single champion in the field. In the next few years, in the pultrusion and winding enterprises in the fiberglass composite industry, we will select the best in automation, intelligence and recyclable green development as a demonstration unit to guide the industry to focus on innovation and product quality. To improve the overall competitiveness of the industry, the association will help more champion companies stand out.

V. Fully realize the "13th Five-Year Plan" goal of the industry
China Fiberglass Industry Association is the first industry association in the building materials industry to submit the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is the pioneer of in-depth reform and accelerated transformation, and has produced products that are recommended to be included in the “Key Products Catalogue of Building Materials Emerging Industries”. List.
Now that the "13th Five-Year Plan" has entered the first year, the glass fiber composite materials industry has proposed in the "13th Five-Year Plan" that "by 2020, the total revenue of enterprises above designated size will reach 500 billion yuan, compared with the '12th Five-Year Plan'. In order to achieve this goal, we must expand the market scale of fiber composite products in the medium and high-end applications, improve product quality and added value, and lay a solid foundation for the "14th Five-Year Plan". Strive to create a myth of 1 trillion yuan in the "14th Five-Year Plan". We firmly believe that the future of glass fiber composite materials is not a dream, and will be realized by the hands of people in the whole industry.
